▣ Transferable content includes:
- Contacts, calendar (device content only), messages, photos, music (only DRM-free content, iCloud not supported), videos (only DRM-free content), call logs, memos, alarms, Wi-Fi networks, wallpapers, documents, app data (for Galaxy devices only), and home layouts (for Galaxy devices only).
- By upgrading to M OS on Galaxy devices (S6 or above), you can transfer app data and home layouts.

▣ Which devices are compatible?
• Galaxy: All recent Galaxy mobile devices and tablets (from Galaxy S2 onward).

• Other Android devices:
- Including but not limited to HTC, LG, Sony, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, PANTECH, Panasonic, Kyocera, NEC, SHARP, Fujitsu, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, Coolpad, RIM, YotaPhone, ZTE, Gionee, LAVA, MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, Google.

* Smart Switch may not be able to install and operate on some devices due to compatibility issues.
1. Both devices need at least 500 MB of free space in their internal memory for data transfer.
2. If a non-Samsung device frequently disconnects from the wireless network, disable the “Wi-Fi initialize” and “Disconnect low Wi-Fi signal” features in Advanced Wi-Fi settings on your device, and attempt the connection again. (Availability of these options may vary based on device manufacturer and OS version.)

The application requires certain permissions to function properly. Default functionality is available for optional permissions but can be restricted.

. Call logs: Transfers call log data (Android 9 or higher)
. Contacts: Transfers contact details
. Calendar: Transfers calendar data
. SMS: Transfers SMS content
. Storage: Saves files needed for data transfer (Android 11 or lower)
. Files and media: Saves files required for data transfer (Android 12)
. Photos and Videos: Saves necessary files for data transfer (Android 13 or higher)
. Microphone: Utilized for high-frequency audio when searching for nearby Galaxy devices
. Nearby devices: Facilitates searching for nearby devices using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (Android 12 or higher)
. Location: Connects to devices via Wi-Fi Direct and makes your location accessible to nearby devices (Android 12 or lower)
. Notifications: Provides updates on data transfer progress (Android 13 or higher)

[ Optional permissions ]
. Camera: Allows QR code scanning to connect with Galaxy phones and tablets.

If your system software is below Android 6.0, please update to manage App permissions effectively. Previously granted permissions can be reset in the Apps menu in your device settings after a software update.
